Terms of Use

By using MGM you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use MGM on iPhone, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: Apple Standard EULA. If Apple’s EULA and these terms conflict for the iOS app, Apple’s EULA wins for that conflict.

1. The app

MGM is a personal logging and planning app. It is not medical care. Food, weight, step and activity calorie figures are estimates. Activity estimates depend on body weight, active time and the selected reference activity. With a complete profile, active energy subtracts the personal resting estimate used by the calorie plan; otherwise it subtracts standard resting energy. New suggested plans include a separate starting allowance for food processing, based on approximately 10% of resting maintenance intake. This is not a walking or work allowance. Unlogged movement has no automatic fixed credit; adaptive plans can learn from sufficient reliable food and weight records. Older logs and learned plan baselines retain their recorded calculation. Intensity ranges are not guaranteed personal minimums or maximums. Where separate published effort levels are missing, MGM may interpolate or adjust net activity energy by 20%. This is a rough product estimate, not a measured personal result. Fixed-pace and sedentary activities do not offer intensity choices. Step-overlap correction may include walking during breaks; when measurements are unavailable, a cautious estimate can undercount extra activity. Enter active rather than total calories from a device. Reference values are based on the 2024 Compendium of Physical Activities; the standard adult reference population is 19–59. Talk to a qualified professional before changing diet, training, or health habits.

Adaptive calorie plan. Suggested Calories may automatically adjust calories and your goal date from your actual weight trend and sufficiently reliable food/activity records. Initial calorie estimates and dates are planning estimates, not promises. Plan limits take priority over the original date. When enabled, adjustments apply before an informational notice; closing that notice does not undo the change. You can disable the whole feature in Nutrition settings. Custom Calories and None do not use it. Weigh-in reminders depend on device permission; declining notifications does not disable the plan.

2. Your account

You need a Google account or Apple ID to sign in. You are responsible for that Google or Apple account. You must be 18 or older to use MGM. This minimum age applies to new and existing users, including MGM AI, and is separate from the App Store age rating. Provide your correct date of birth; do not create an account for someone under 18. The age requirement also reflects the requirements of our AI provider, Google Gemini.

If you do not meet the age requirement, stop using MGM's features. Your existing records are not automatically deleted because of your age. Account management remains available in updated app versions, including correcting your details and requesting account deletion. For help accessing your records, contact hello@mygrowthmodules.com. Age restrictions do not automatically cancel an Apple subscription: manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings; refund requests are handled by Apple.

You may delete your MGM account in Profile Settings by typing deletemygrowth. Deletion is scheduled (30 days to change your mind). If you sign in during that window you can type deletenow to delete immediately, including the private copy, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the logs, photos, and messages you add. You grant us a limited licence to store and display them so the app can work (including sync, support, and what you share with friends). You can delete a 1:1 chat from your inbox: it stays for the other person until they delete it too. When both of you have deleted it, or when you unfriend, we remove it from our servers (support chat with the operator stays after unfriend). Do not upload content that is illegal, that you do not have the right to share, or that exploits others.

Friends feed and streaks (supporting development/staging versions). General achievement messages may be shared automatically with current accepted friends, subject to your sharing settings. You can disable automatic sharing or hide individual moments. A calorie-plan moment means that the recorded day ended within 5% below or above that day's effective target, including activity; it does not certify complete logging, a healthy diet or weight loss. Steps and hydration have separate goal checks. Corrections to the underlying records can change whether a moment is available. Historical moments require available original context and may not cover all earlier logs.

An app-opening streak counts qualifying local calendar days of deliberate app use, not health outcomes. Background updates alone do not count. Device clocks, offline synchronization and notification delivery can affect when updates are visible. Milestones and congratulations have no monetary value, and public reaction totals are not shown. Optional reminders and the brief daily welcome can support regular use; notification delivery is not guaranteed.

4. Plans and Apple subscriptions

New accounts start on MGM Basic (two modules, no ads). Paid plans offered through Apple can include:

The price and currency you pay are those Apple shows in the App Store and in Your Plan for your country. Displayed annual savings are rounded from the current Apple monthly and yearly prices in the same currency; no savings claim is shown when these prices are unavailable or the yearly price is not lower than twelve monthly payments. If this page and Apple disagree, Apple’s checkout is the price.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store when you confirm. Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in Apple’s subscription settings (Your Plan → Downgrade also opens that screen). After a paid period ends you return to Basic; if more than two modules are on, you pick which two stay (your logs are kept).

Choosing modules during onboarding does not start a timer. On Basic and MGM +1, the first later module change opens one fixed 60-minute tryout in which you can change the permitted modules freely. Further changes do not extend that tryout. When it ends, the active selection is fixed for seven times 24 hours. The first change after that period starts a new 60-minute tryout. Basic permits up to two active modules and MGM +1 up to three. Unlimited plans do not use this module-change timer.

A complimentary (gift) plan may be granted by us. It is not an Apple purchase and may have an end date. We may change or revoke a gift. That does not refund an Apple payment. If we suspend an MGM account, your Apple subscription may still renew until you cancel it with Apple.

Test builds (TestFlight) use Apple’s sandbox: they look like a purchase and are not charged as live App Store payments.

Apple’s payment terms apply. Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund rules.

5. MGM AI

If you export your recovery code, protect the resulting file and keep a copy accessible without the original phone. The exported file contains a secret; your chosen storage service controls the protection of the saved copy. MGM does not receive or email this file. Saving it does not replace the recovery verification in the app.

Newer compatible encrypted-chat development builds prepare protected local read copies after verifying your existing key. A replacement phone can restore the encrypted cloud chat history and backed-up private Bodyweight photos when the matching key is available. New AI-chat photos in those builds stay on the original device, are sent temporarily for analysis and do not form part of the permanent cloud history. They can be lost if that device or app storage is lost; the saved text and answer remain separately recoverable. Older encrypted photo archives and independently saved log attachments retain their existing preservation rules. Restore progress is measured per displayed step, not as a promise of remaining time. Keep the app open while restoring; completed verified work can be reused if restoration is interrupted.

MGM AI in the restricted development/staging test. Selected adult accounts use the ordinary chat with encrypted history, OpenAI text replies and Google Gemini image/meal processing. One explicit introduction covers AI processing of submitted messages/images and relevant, bounded reads from active supported modules, profile fields, supported settings, subscription status and AI usage. This can include health information. Permission is required to use this optional AI service and can be withdrawn in AI privacy settings; the rest of MGM remains available without it. Existing narrower permission does not automatically grant the expanded scope. Public lookups use general wellbeing or MGM topics without private records in the search query. Supported changes appear as exact proposals and are saved only after you tap Apply. Existing logs are not overwritten, and purchases, account security, deletion and automatic module activation are excluded. The AI cannot autonomously edit logs, operate Workout or read another conversation; existing explicit Log actions remain under your control. It can discuss general wellbeing, but cannot diagnose, prescribe or provide emergency care. Incomplete records and AI errors can produce incorrect conclusions; seek appropriate professional help for serious symptoms or medical decisions. Test access may expire, and current weekly plan allowances are not increased by changing the model. Accepted work can consume usage even if delivery is interrupted; reopening checks saved encrypted results without automatically repeating an uncertain paid request. Recovery requires compatible software and either matching available Apple/device keys or the saved account recovery code. MGM login or a password reset alone cannot recover every lost key. The Privacy Policy explains conversion, provider processing, deletion and the limits of this staging test.

MGM AI food estimates, activity estimates, body-composition report extraction, message routing and app-help replies share one account-wide weekly allowance. Where the weekly trial is available, MGM Basic, MGM +1 and MGM Unlimited receive the same small trial allowance; MGM Unlimited + AI and MGM Coach receive the same larger allowance. A complimentary plan receives the allowance of that plan. Availability in older app versions and test environments may differ during rollout. Usage depends on the model tokens needed for text, photos, answers and recovery attempts, and on product-information searches, rather than a fixed number of meals or messages. The app shows the percentage used and when the fixed seven-day window resets. The window is anchored when AI usage is first accessed; unused allowance does not roll over. Plan changes do not erase usage or restart the window. Before generating, we reserve enough allowance for a bounded response and recovery attempts, then release unused credit based on known usage. A request can therefore be declined when the remaining allowance cannot cover it, even below 100% usage. You can wait for the reset or choose a plan with a larger allowance. When an activity has no exact reference, AI may create a custom activity estimate calibrated against database reference values, labelled as an AI estimate rather than a published measurement. AI output can be wrong; you confirm before logging. App help explains published MGM features using product facts. Outside the separately consented development test described above, it cannot browse your records or change settings. It cannot make purchases. Photos can be processed for food estimates or, after your confirmation, to extract current values from a body-composition report. Report reading takes place in a private MGM AI chat that retains your report photo and draft so you can reopen and correct them. Values are saved to Bodyweight only when you choose Log. Deleting the chat does not delete a weight log you explicitly saved. Fat-free mass is not treated as muscle mass. These measurements and AI results are not medical advice. Rejected or unsuitable image requests may still consume model usage. Photos and text you send for an estimate are processed by Google Gemini as described in the Privacy Policy. For conversational estimates, we keep the conversation so you can reopen it; deleting it in the app removes the conversation from our servers. Operational usage records remain to enforce the weekly limit; deleting a chat does not reset usage.

In app versions that support background photo processing, an accepted photo request can continue on our server after you leave the app. The saved request status and completed answer let you reopen the result without requesting the same analysis again. A generic ready notification may be sent through the existing push service when your Chat notification setting and device permissions allow it. Notification delivery depends on the provider and device; an accepted push is not proof of delivery. Server runtime and network limits still apply; completion is not guaranteed. Choosing Stop cancels the pending request, but model usage already incurred may still count. No food, activity or Bodyweight log is created without your confirmation.

For packaged foods, MGM AI may check published product information through a web search and review of source pages. Product matching and nutrition can still be wrong; a source link does not guarantee that the barcode or recipe is identical. You review the estimate before logging.

6. Acceptable use

Bodyweight logs can also contain optional circumference measurements that you enter. Viewing a log does not change it; you can edit the saved values separately. When you save an AI-read measurement with a report photo, an independent private source copy is attached to that log and follows your Bodyweight photo-backup choice. You can remove the attachment separately. Deleting the source chat does not remove the saved log or its attachment. These values do not diagnose health conditions.

Do not abuse the service (scraping, attacking, impersonating, or using another person’s account). We may suspend an MGM account that harms the service or other people. Suspending MGM does not by itself cancel Apple billing.

Supporting development versions may keep additional verified chat-photo recovery copies in the app's document storage. Signing in elsewhere does not itself transfer those local copies. Device backups or transfers depend on your operating system and settings; MGM does not guarantee their recovery after uninstalling the app or losing the device. The opt-in staging development route uses separate temporary storage for new supported photo transfers and removes an exact server object only after the required verified local receipts and saved AI or independent report source, or a confirmed account deletion with source-protection checks. Offline or incomplete transfers remain retained without a forced expiry. Existing production photos, legacy server retention and independent logged sources remain unchanged.

7. Availability

We aim to keep MGM running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features can change. Catalog food data comes from retailers and public sources and can be incomplete.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, MGM is provided “as is”. We are not liable for decisions you make from logs or estimates, or for losses we could not reasonably foresee. Nothing in these terms limits rights you cannot waive under consumer law in your country (including the EU). We do not ask you to give up those rights.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. For a change that really affects you we will try to tell you in the app. If you do not agree, delete your account and stop using the app.

10. Intellectual property

We own MGM: the app, its code, design, name, and catalog presentation. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or scrape the app except as the law allows. You keep ownership of the logs, photos, and messages you add, as described above. On iPhone, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
